Ahi Tuna / Watermelon Tostadas

Servings: 4 Tostadas


4 ea / Coyotas Tortillas

1/2 lb / Ahi Tuna, Medium Cubes

½ lb / Watermelon, Seedless, Medium Cubes

1 tbsp / Chiu Chow Chili Oil (Amazon or Asian Grocery Stores)

1 wt oz / Red Onion, Paper Thin Slices, Rinsed in Cold Water

1 tsp / Cilantro, Fresh, Minced


Avocado Crema:

2 ea / Avocados

4 ea / Tomatillos, rinsed, halved

2 ea / Green Onion, chopped

2 ea / Garlic Cloves, peeled

¼ cup / Cilantro, fresh, chopped

2 ea / Lime Juice, fresh Squeezed

1 ea / Jalapeño, Fresh, seeded

Salt & Black Pepper to Taste



  1. For Tuna: Place Ahi Tuna, Watermelon, pinch of Salt & Pepper, Red Onion and Chiu Chow Oil in bowl and mix thoroughly. Once mixed, add minced cilantro and fully combine.
  2. For Tostadas in Oven: Place in Oven at 375 F degrees for 4-6 min flipping in between until golden brown and crisp.
  3. For Tostadas in Air Fryer: Place in Air fryer at 375 F degrees for 3-5 minutes flipping in between until golden brown and crisp.
  4. For Avocado Crema: Place all ingredients except for avocados in blender, cover and blend until smooth. Once blended, scoop avocados into mix and blend until completely smooth. If too thick add water slowly until a spread consistency and adjust seasoning with Salt & Pepper to taste.
